Participate in Our Water Saving Contest

Westminster is under a Drought Watch, and we’re calling on our community’s creativity to help make every drop count. Since April, the City and residents have been working together to conserve water and we all have a role to play. Whether the ideas are big or small, we want to hear from you. Share your best water-saving tips as part of the City’s Water Saving Contest for a chance to win prizes!

We’re looking for original ideas that residents use to save water in your home, in the garden, or in the community. Your idea could be:

  • A simple habit that makes a big difference
  • A creative way to reuse water
  • A clever gardening or household trick or hack
  • A behavior change that has worked for your family

How to Enter:

The contest kicks off Monday, July 13 at 5 pm. Submit your ideas on OUR Westminster, the City’s new community engagement platform. Simply upload an image and/or video with a short caption explaining your water-saving tip. Other community members will be able to browse ideas for inspiration and vote for their favorite tips. There is no limit to the number of submissions.

Every month for three months, one winner will be selected from the pool of idea submissions. Exciting prizes will be announced on the contest page. A grand prize will also be awarded at the end of the contest in October for the submission that received the highest number of community votes.

We can’t wait to see what you’ve got, Westminster!
