West View Recreation Center Closed 12/19 Due to Xcel Energy Public Safety Power Shutoffs
Xcel Energy has informed the City that West View Recreation Center (10747 W. 108th Ave.) and a portion of homes in the Countryside and Meadowview Estates neighborhoods are expected to be included in their Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) beginning Friday, December 19, at 5 am.

Investing in Resilience: The Big Dry Creek Streambank Restoration Project
City Park will soon present new trails, ponds, and bridges along Big Dry Creek as part of the Streambank Restoration Project, improving water quality and flood management. This revitalization includes planting native vegetation and constructing amenities for community enjoyment. City Park Pond will store reclaimed water and be separate from Big Dry Creek.

The park will grow from six to twelve acres, featuring modern amenities. Community input has guided this redevelopment, with completion expected by late 2026.
