One City. Many Voices. Help Shape OUR Westminster.
Westminster residents have a new way to share feedback directly with City leadership on issues you care about most. The City of Westminster has launched OUR Westminster (Outreach.Updates.Results.), a new community engagement platform, at our.westminsterco.gov. This platform provides a space for residents to learn about projects happening in the city, share feedback directly with local decision-makers, and help shape the future of the community. Residents can share input on plans that impact their neighborhoods, commutes, and places where they spend time.
“OUR Westminster is the next step in expanding our efforts to connect and engage with the community, as well as provide visibility and transparency to the City’s projects through a new, user-friendly platform,” said Mayor Claire Carmelia. “We’re proactively working with our residents, nonprofits, businesses, and all stakeholders to help shape what city participation looks like and make feedback easier. Our goal is to give everyone a voice in the future of Westminster.”
A new, accessible way to be heard
The City prioritized interactive, welcoming, and accessible design. Residents will be able to dive into interactive maps, take quick surveys, post ideas, and join the conversation in one place, on their schedule, 24/7.
While the City will continue to invest in traditional in-person engagement methods like City Council meetings and tabling sessions to meet our community, OUR Westminster is a new digital option that provides residents easier and more convenient opportunities to stay engaged on projects and provide feedback at every stage of the planning process.
“Inclusive engagement is one of the City’s top priorities,” said Mayor Carmelia. “OUR Westminster uses machine translation technology to enhance language translation so that non-English-speaking residents can fully participate. We’re hopeful the online platform will also make it easier for residents with mobility limitations or disabilities who do not regularly attend City events, to have the opportunity to participate in government in a way that works best for them.”

Currently, OUR Westminster features infrastructure projects, like the Westminster Boulevard Drinking Water Project and the Municipal Courthouse Project, and citywide projects including Drought Watch and Pavement and Paramedics (3H). Over time, additional projects will be added to the site.
Residents can also share their best water-saving tips and vote for their favorite water-saving ideas in a Water Saving Contest. Monthly prizes will be awarded, with a single grand-prize for the idea with the most upvotes from the community. The contest closes Wednesday, October 28.
