New U.S. 36/Sheridan Underpass Opening June 10
The Sheridan Boulevard Multimodal Transportation Improvement Project – also known as the Sheridan Underpass – will open Saturday, June 10. The new underpass will make several key connections and improvements to one of Westminster’s busiest corridors.

New Water Treatment Facility in Westminster Coming in 2028
Beginning in fall of 2023, work will begin on a new, modern water treatment facility in Westminster that will reliably provide 15 million gallons of water per day (MGD). The new facility will be built on property the City recently acquired on Westminster Boulevard just north of 98th Avenue, a site that had been previously destined for development.

Westminster City Council to Consider Four Water Treatment Facility Options
Westminster City Council will consider four alternative options to a proposed water treatment facility project at their January 23, 2023 meeting. City Council directed staff to stop work on the Water2025 project in November 2021, which at the time had a projected cost of $250 million. City staff has since identified additional options that better balance the need to modernize the city’s water infrastructure while ensuring safe and clean drinking water at affordable rates for residents.
