Westminster’s municipal election was held Tuesday, November 4. Westminster residents voted for a new Mayor and three City Councillors, in addition to deciding on Ballot Measure 3H. Ballot Question 3H
Preliminary results as of Wednesday, November 5, indicate that Ballot Measure 3H has passed (Yes: 13,928 votes, No: 13,027 votes). This measure represents a major investment in our neighborhood streets, ability to fight fires, and save lives. The measure calls for a 0.4% increase in the city’s sales tax to fund these improvements. Learn more below.

Measure 3H funding is designated to:
- Hire a minimum of 30 firefighters, emergency medical, and support personnel — including staffing for new stations in North and Central Westminster.
- Construct and operate a new fire station in Central Westminster.
- Rebuild Station 3 on the west side.
- Provide and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment.
- Dedicate a minimum of $2 million annually to improve, maintain, and prioritize neighborhood streets.
Shall City of Westminster taxes be increased by $14 million annually in the first full fiscal year and by such amounts as are raised annually thereafter by increasing the existing city sales and use tax by 0.4% and the resulting tax revenues being used to:
• Reduce response time and maintain emergency services citywide by hiring a minimum of thirty (30) firefighters, emergency medical and support personnel, including personnel for new stations in north and central Westminster,
• Construct and operate a new fire station in central Westminster for rapid response to medical and fire emergencies,
• Provide and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment, and modernize facilities to better protect the public and first responders, including rebuilding station 3,
• Improve, maintain, and prioritize neighborhood streets and city roadways with a minimum of $2 million annually, and
With the resulting tax revenue being allowed to be collected and spent notwithstanding any limitations provided by law?

Unofficial results indicate Westminster voters elected Claire Carmelia (13,841 votes) as Mayor. City Council begins its term Monday, December 1, 2025.
